ICT Monitor Code of Conduct
It is important that the ICT Monitors should be reliable and enthusiastic with an interest in the use of ICT in the School. His/her ICT skills should be good enough to be able to help others to use the ICT resources appropriately. He/she should be able to develop a working knowledge of how the School’s ICT structures and resources operate.
An ICT monitor must…
- Uphold the schools ICT and Internet policy and code of conduct at all times
- Must regularly attend ICT monitors meetings
- Maintain a good standard of work in their school subjects
- Be helpful and friendly to all other pupils
- Promote e-safety and anti-bullying in the school
- Be positive about ICT in the school
- Do their best to promote school blog sites to students and parents
Any ICT monitor who fails to comply with these rules will have their position removed and all record of that position removed from future reports/letters of recommendation.
Typical duties of an ICT monitor are as follows:
Promote the use of ICT across the school
Promote e-safety and anti-online bullying in the school
Help run and promote School Subject blog/web sites.
Create posters, leaflets and presentations to advertise school events/ house activities.
Graphic design and photography for subjects and school events.
Format documents, spreadsheets, forms etc
Create ICT Support help sheets and instructions in how to use software/hardware
Be ICT support for the Student Council
Be a student voice in Schools ICT development
